Bishop’s homily (Gen. 1: 1-19.  Mk. 6: 53-56)

Theme: God is good.  Everything He created was good.  Specially, human beings-made after His image and likeness.

Satan, the Enemy, tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God.  They fell from God’s goodness.

But God sent His Son to restore men and women to goodness.

Jesus Christ came to restore humans not only to spiritual Good; but also tophysical goodness through healing, among others.

God wants all to be good.  He formed Christians to be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world” (Mt. 5: 13-16).

Christians have to preserve the Faith received in baptism and to guide and enlighten people in their faith journey towards the “Summum Bonum” – the Highest Good – God!

Fr. Robert Feguro was installed as the first parish priest.

Fr. Arturo Pancho started forming and organizing the proposed parish.  Fr. Reygie Peñol, assisted by Fr. Sinon Alcarde, parish priest of Malungon, complete the preparation.

Priests present – 44: 1 Dominican, 1 Claretian, 5 Passionist and 37 diocesan.

Congratulations and prayers!
