  1. PRAYER GATHERING FOR PEACE AND UNITY

Date and venue:          27 January, 4:00pm.

Mga Kapanalig at mamamayan:

Shalom.  Salaam.  Kapayapaan!

Nandito tayo ngayon upang manalangin para sa kapayapaan at pagkakaisa.

Ginugulo ng mga masasamang tao ang ating bayan. Mga taong involved sa illegal drug trafficking, kidnap for ransom, corruption, extortion, murder, arson, rebellion, poverty at iba pa.

Maigting ang kampanya ni Presidente Duterte at iba pang mga opisyal sa gobyerno laban sa mga kasamaang ito; subalit hindi pa gaanong nagtagumpay.

Bakit?  Sapagkat, tayo, mga mamamayan at mananampalataya, ay walang pakikilahok sa kampanya laban sa kasamaan.

Bukod sa ating kakulangan sa pakikilahok, nakakalimot pa tayo sa Diyos bilang kasama sa pagpapatatag ng kapayapaan at pagtataguyod ng pagkakaisa.

Kung wala ang Diyos, walang saysay ang ano mang gawain ng tao.  “Kung hindi si Yahweh ang gumagawa ng bahay, walang magawa ang nagpapatayo nito; kung ang Diyos ay hindi nagbabantay ng lungsod, walang magawa ang mga guwardiya.” (Salmo 127: 1)

Kung kaya, kinakailangan tayong manalangin.  Nag-ulat si Pablo, “Ang payo ko ay, una sa lahat, manalangin para sa lahat, lalo na sa mga hari at sa ibang namumuno upang magkaroon tayo ng relihiyoso, magalang at tahimik na buhay.  Ang pagsasagawa nito ay tama at ikatutuwa ng Diyos na ating tagapagligtas.” (1Tim. 2: 1-2)

Ipagdasal natin si Pangulong Duterte, ang mga mambabatas, ang mga hukom, ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan, ang hukbong sandatahan, at ang kapulisan na bigyan sila ng Diyos ng kalakasan, kakayahan at katatagan bilang tagapagtatag ng kapayapaan at tagapagtaguyod ng pagkakaisa.

Ipagdasal din natin ang lahat ng masasama na magsilbing inspirasyon ang Diyos sa kanilang buhay upang pagsisihan ang lahat ng ginawang kasamaan at magsimula nang gumawa ng mabubuting gawain.

Sa katapusan ipagdasal natin na lalo tayong makikiisa sa pagpapatatag ng kapayapaan at pagtataguyod ng panlahat na kabutihan.

Nawa’y tulungan tayo ng Makapangyarihanng Adwata, mabuting Allah at Mahabaging Yahweh sa ating adhikain sa pagbuo ng sibilisasyon ng buhay at pag-ibig.
