2.  SEPTEMBER RECOLLECTION OF PRIESTS

Forty-three (43) PRIESTS – 41 DIOCESAN and 2 Claretians had their recollection, 13 September 2016, St. Francis Xavier Parish, Malapatan, Sarangani.

Persons responsible: Fr. Arvin Bellen, CMF who introduced the two women sharers and Fr. Efren Decreto, CMF – Mass presider and homilist.

The two women who shared their experiences are Tagakaulos from Datal Anggas, Alabel, Sarangani.  Mother and daughter.

Arlene Ayaw, daughter, had been active in Church since she was 7 years old – recollection and retreat.  She realized that the more she became close to God the more she experienced problems.  She exhorted the priests to serve – difficulties, notwithstanding.  She expressed her desire to enter a religious congregation.

Elen T. Ayaw, mother, 45 years old.  PME Fathers started the mission in Datal Anggas, up in the mountains, approachable by two wheels ordinarily.  PME established tribal schools.  MIC Sisters, Mission Collaborators.  She was once a teacher.  Homilies strengthened her faith.

Fr. Efren Decreto, CMF, shared his vocation story: calling, rejection, assurance, acceptance, mission.                                                                                                                                    (Fr. JOC)
