2. Bishop Meets with Leaders of Couples for Christ (CFC)

Bishop Dinualdo met with over 100 leaders from several parishes last 27 February 2016, Bishop’s Kiosk.

Purposes: (1) to explain, deepen Bishop’s Pastoral Exhortation on 2016 Election “We need a Prophetic President” (2) involve them more in evangelizing families.

A prophetic president is one who communicates God’s will to the people; tasked to “root up and tear down, to destroy and to demolish, to build and to plant” (Jer. 1: 10).

Unjust structures must be uprooted, torn down, destroyed and demolished.  Then build and plant just structures in order to have one, holy society (cf. Eph. 1: 1-10).

Building one, holy society demands a core of leaders who integrate faith and life, very knowledgeable, pro-poor, ready to serve and possess the necessary skills: communicating, organizing, analyzing.

In turn this core will form other good leaders who will evangelize the parishes.  From parishes the third level of leaders will evangelize members of our Basic Ecclesial Communities.

Bishop also gave an initial information on “The Final Report of the Synod of Bishops”, XIV Ordinary General Assembly, 4-25 October 2015.  It deals with the Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and the contemporary World.

Among its suggestions is to prepare people for marriage: 3 steps – remote preparation, proximate, and immediate.

I suggested that a group would be formed composed of priests, religious and lay leaders in the Family and Life Apostolate to design an intensive program on family from womb to tomb.

Parishes represented: Bula, Calumpang, Cannery, Dadiangas, Fatima, Glan, Lagao, Marbel, Polomolok, Surallah, Tantangan.

Next conference, April 2, Tampakan, Synod on Family.
